Welsh born, Penny Thomas spent her first few decades in Egypt, Portugal, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates. Then, a stroke of luck took her to the United States of America.
Corporate life in New York City provided her with a multitude of plot lines to indulge in her passion for writing fiction. A spur of the moment decision, brought upon by an industry-wide layoff, prompted Penny to give up the pleasures of Gotham and move to Central Florida. Penny holds a B.S. from Pace University, New York, NY and a M.F.A. from Seton Hill University, Greensburg, PA.
Her thesis novel, As the Prop Turns, won Mystery Writers of America, Florida Chapter’s Freddie Award for Writing Excellence.
Since retiring as a copy writer I have started writing fiction. My first manuscript won an award from Mystery Writers of Florida. Currently I am working on my second novel, a romantic thriller set in my old stamping ground – Beirut, Lebanon.
